Er wurde ursprünglich als unbewaffneter, schneller Bomber konzipiert und diente während des zweiten Weltkrieges in dieser Rolle. Diese TAMIYA Modellbaukastenversion zeigt die im Frühjahr 1942 und 1943 eingeführten Jagdbombervarianten. Das Modell enthält ebenfalls 2 Pilotfiguren, um das Diorama realistisch wirken zu lassen.
